Community Action Marin Head Start

Who We Are

Marin Head Start would love to have a volunteer placed at each of our classrooms. We have a total of 11 Pre- K classrooms and 4 Infant/Toddler centers.

Volunteer duties range from working in the classroom along with teachers to support planned learning activities to facility work that may include, painting buildings, minor repairs, yard work etc.

If you have expertise with writing grants, please check in with us to see if we are in need for a grant writer.

Other opportunities may be working from home to do food, book, clothing, diaper and other drives.

Volunteers working with children in our program will be required to show proof of absence of TB and proof of immunizations in order to meet our state licensing requirements and attend an orientation.

Volunteer placement starts in October which allows for children to build a trusting relationship with their teachers and learn their classroom routine during the month of september.

For summer volunteers, please contact our program in April as we fill up fast for the summer!
