Emergency Warehouse Volunteer - Fairfield
In order to serve our community and provide emergency food services, we need healthy people not displaying any symptoms of being sick or living with anyone who is sick, click on this link to sign up for volunteer shifts. We are experiencing an unprecedented volunteer shortage in our Fairfield and Concord warehouses. For the safety of our volunteers, we are now limiting food sorting volunteer groups to a maximum of 10 people. The reality is if we do not collectively provide food to the most vulnerable in our community, they will not be able to feed themselves or their families.

Spanish-language Bilingual Wish Granters - Napa County
At Make-A-Wish, we grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. While our chapter's office is based in Oakland, we are looking for bilingual volunteers in all Bay Area counties, to help grant wishes for families whose primary language is Spanish. At the moment, our Spanish-language families are waiting on average 60% longer for a team than for English-language families, and we are seeking to shorten that wait. In Napa County, we are looking for people who are fluent in Spanish and English and can volunteer anywhere in the county. Wish Granters are volunteers who visit the families, and interview the children to find out what they want to wish for. When the wishes are ready to happen, the wish granters use their creativity to find ways to "reveal" and "enhance" the wish experience, to make the experience special. Note: There is not a specific location for being a wish granter; volunteers would be in different places around the community.
