Volunteer from home! Bake & deliver cakes for at-risk youth (San Francisco)
Calling all home-bakers in San Francisco!
Help Cake4Kids deliver smiles! Cake4Kids is looking for volunteers in the community to bake and deliver birthday cakes, cupcakes and cookies, bars or brownies for underprivileged youth, ages 1-24. For youth who are homeless, are victims of violence or human trafficking, are in foster care or are living at the poverty line, the seemingly simple gift of home-made, personlized birthday sweets makes a big impact. Every child deserves to feel special.

Cake4Kids proudly serves youth in 10 counties in California and you can select which area(s) you would like to deliver to, whether it's near your home or near your work -- choose from Alameda county, Contra Costa county, Fresno county, Marin county, Napa county, Sacramento county, San Diego county, San Francisco county, San Mateo county, Santa Clara county. Our volunteers never meet the children we support, but every cake is custom-made especially for each child and makes an impact. To understand the difference one cake can make, take a look at some of the feedback we have received:
"In the past birthday cakes were not always an option as we were homeless, could not afford a cake or had a place to bake one. When I do get a cake I make sure to eat it slowly and savor every bite so that the memory will stay with me. This birthday cake definitely will. Thank you again for all that you do."
"I wanted to send my heartfelt thanks for the amazing cake... She was so happy, se cried. She wanted to put the cake in her room and hide it so that we didn't cut it and eat it (until she was allowed to eat it). This is such an amazing service that you provide along with your volunteers and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate what you were able to do."
