Bilingual Spanish Personal Shoppers Needed!
Bloom is looking for Bilingual Spanish Personal Shoppers to work with our men and women clients. Work as a team with one client at a time, providing them with a wardrobe tailored to their needs with personalized attention to boost their sense of self-worth and hope. We are located at 1557 Fourth Street in San Rafael. 18 and older please! Bloom is a nonprofit organization that provides complimentary wardrobes to men, women, and children who are transitioning to a life of self-reliance. Our clients are among the low income or working poor populations who are referred by supporting social services agencies. The population served includes participants in substance abuse recovery programs, victims of spousal abuse, as well as others who are homeless, jobless, or suffering from economic hardship. Bloom not only provides clothes to satisfy the requirements of the workplace, but also to enhance the social and recreational needs of our clients who are working to transition to a life of self-sufficiency. Bloom is the only nonprofit in the United States to provide wardrobes for the entire family at no fee to the client.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support & share Bloom's Mission. Be able to stand for 3-hour shift while dressing client(s). Dress clients respectfully for their individual size, color & silhouette. After each shift, put clothes away according to item type and size. Clean and straighten accessory displays and clothing racks.
On the initial visit, two personal stylists work with each client, offering a one-on-one wardrobe consultation and professional dressing. Each client receives a two-week, mix-and-match wardrobe and accessories. After six months, the client may schedule a second appointment to receive a change of season wardrobe.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Typically, 18 years & older, able to speak Spanish conversationally. Have a sense of current style and knowledge of what looks good on a client. Know how to dress appropriately for various situations. Experience working and communicating with people of different backgrounds and cultures. Ability to work both independently and as a team player. Respect confidentiality
OTHER:Show respect for other personal shoppers, boutique clients, and retail customers. Maintains professional behavior, dress and appearance at all times. Volunteer a minimum of 3 hours a month: Come in 10 minutes before shift. Attend 2 volunteer meetings a year; help with Special Events and Fundraisers.Volunteer in all areas during training.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Stands for extended period of times. Able to reach upper racks. Exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise level.
