Family Volunteer Day Nov 23rd, 2019
Seniors in Solano County need YOUR help! Join us in making care packages for 700 seniors who are facing the threat of hunger and isolation in our community.
Family Volunteer Day is a national day of service that encourages volunteerism for all ages and celebrates the power of families who work together to support their communities and neighborhoods.
This year, CVNL is partnering with Meals on Wheels for a festive afternoon where volunteers will put together care packages and write personalized notes to bring joy to seniors in Solano County. Meals on Wheels strives to reduce hunger and isolation among seniors by insuring that home-bound seniors receive a nutritious meal, necessary supplies, and a warm conversation each day.
We kindly ask that you bring 3 new /unopened items to place into care packages such as:
● Sudoku Books/ Crossword Puzzles
● Socks and Blankets
● Playing Cards
These items help assure that each senior receives a well-rounded care package.
We will gather at the Joseph Nelson Community Center on Saturday, November 23rd between 1:00-4:00 PM.
Please let us know you will be attending by signing up below. We look forward to seeing you and your family there!
