Sonoma County Energy Work Volunteer
**Thank you for your interest in volunteering with By the Bay Health. Unfortunately, the Volunteer trainings in 2020 were cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. We have been accepting applications continuously throughout the past year, but have not been conducting trainee interviews. We are hopeful to provide one training in fall 2021 when it is safe to conduct classroom sessions in-person, as well as online. We currently welcome new applications and invite you to apply to be a volunteer on our agency website below, but please be aware that we have a significant number of applicants on the wait-list since March 2020. Applications are processed in the order received, which means your application may not be considered for interview eligibility until 2022.
As a Complementary Care Volunteer for By the Bay Health, you’ll be making a significant difference for someone facing end-of-life challenges. Utilize your therapeutic skills to improve the quality of life for our patients by performing:

Therapeutic/healing touch

Reiki
-
Acupressure
In addition to becoming a member of our team, as a Complementary Care volunteer you will receive in depth training on how to prepare for working with patients and families in the Sonoma County area.

Other Requirements: Reiki volunteers must be level 3 practitioners or higher. Therapeutic/healing touch and acupressure volunteers must provide certification.
