Solano Healthcare Emergency Auxiliary Response Team (Solano HEART)
The Solano Healthcare Emergency Auxiliary Response Team (Solano HEART) is looking for medical and non-medical volunteers who are interested in assisting Solano Public Health and the general public during a disaster or catastrophic event. Solano HEART is a community-operated project that will function to locally recruit, train, and deploy volunteers. When a public health emergency occurs, the need for volunteers may be tremendous. HEART volunteers will be used to supplement existing emergency services when a disaster is of a magnitude that exceeds existing resources. Volunteer skills and expertise will also be utilized in preventive community programs throughout the year.
