What We Do:
To help, to heal, to inspire... Hooves for Harmony, Inc. offers horse therapy to children with special needs at Morning Star Farm in Novato. We focus on nurturing personal development in youth through volunteer service and horsemanship.
Who We Are:
Hooves for Harmony, Inc. provides equine therapy free of charge and relies heavily on volunteer support in order to manage its day-to-day operations. We currently have volunteers from Novato, San Marin, Redwood, and Marin Catholic High Schools as well as Sinaloa Middle School in Novato. When asked what is most important to her about her time volunteering with the program, Ella O‚??Sullivan, a seventh grader from Sinaloa, says, ‚??I am building friendships that I will remember forever, and I get to learn about horses too!‚?ù We consider all of our volunteers part of the family and regularly schedule appreciation days and other fun activities. Volunteers benefit immensely from their experience with Hooves for Harmony. With the help of our volunteers we will continue to build confidence and create small miracles for children with special needs through the gift of therapeutic horseback riding. If you are interested in joining in the fun, please begin the application process by completing ALL 4 FORMS on our website and emailing them to our Executive Director, Heather Parker at firstname.lastname@example.org.
