What We Do:

Marin Girls Chorus offers girls and young women the opportunity to discover the joyful experience of choral singing and the transformative power of music. With classes available for students from Kindergarten through high school, all of our singers are infused with the joy and beauty of choral singing. All choral levels combine to sing at community events, retirement homes, holiday celebrations, choral festivals, and other special opportunities. Twice yearly, our singers present formal concerts for friends, families, and the general public. Singers are invited to join in September and January. Our singers:Use their voices with artistry and confidenceLearn the value of each individual’s contribution to the larger ensembleDevelop inner strength and self-assuranceShare their gift of song with the communityThe chorus was founded by Martha Wall in 1988 in response to a parent's request that Marin County offer something akin to the San Francisco Girls Chorus. Since its inception, the chorus has been invited to perform in many venues and has achieved acclaim for its varied repertory and outstanding performances. Participation in choral festivals, travel, and tours are important aspects of our music education program.

Who We Are:

Our motto, 'Start Young, Sing Forever,' emphasizes our goal to train young voices so they can enjoy a lifetime of singing. We aim to provide top-notch music education and foster friendship for all our participants.
