What We Do:
CASA, A Voice for Children’s mission is to protect children who have become dependents of the court due to abuse, neglect, or molest by their parents or caretakers, to ensure each child’s needs are met, to return children to their families when it is safe to do so, and to advocate for permanent adoptive homes when children cannot be safe with their parents. There are many changes during the course of a dependent child’s case. CASA’s are the only constant person advocating for their best interests during this uncertain time.
Who We Are:
What is a CASA?A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained community volunteer who is appointed by a judge to represent the best interest of a child in court. Children helped by CASA volunteers are victims of abuse and neglect for whom home placement is being determined in juvenile court.
