Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuaryhttp://richardsonbay.audubon.org/
What We Do:
Richardson Bay is ground zero for waterbirds and Pacific herring in San Francisco Bay. We manage the only open water sanctuary in San Francisco Bay, which provides shelter from all disturbance during each winter season. Our 10.5 acre site adjacent to the bay hosts our youth conservation leadership program, summer camp, volunteer opportunities, and offers facility rentals to individuals and organizations. The space is open to the public to ejoy each weekday.
Who We Are:
Restoration and clean-up on Aramburu Island. Depending on the season, group projects include invasive plant removal, native plant propagation, native plant planting on the island, trash pick-up, and much more. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Adult and child liability release forms are available on our website. FREE program. Cant make the workday? Join us any time! We are always looking for people who like to be outside and aren't afraid of getting dirty.
