What We Do:

Viva el Español is an award-winning non-profit Spanish Language & Culture Program for children and adults.Viva el Español is the winner of Bay Area Parent Magazine's BEST Foreign Language Program for 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Who We Are:

We teach Spanish to children ages toddler through grade 8 throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We also offer summer camps, special events, private lessons and adult classes.Viva el Espanol's unique methodology combines a full-immersion philosophy with a curriculum rich with music, movement, storytelling, art, interactive games, hands-on activities, imaginative play and cultural projects -- drawing on all senses of a child's brain to help him/her learn a second language. We are looking for creative, organized and dedicated individuals that are native Spanish speakers to join our team. We looking for experienced teachers as well as those wanting to be trained.These are part-time volunteer opportunities, approximately 5-15 hours per week. Additional hours will be offered to those who demonstrate a commitment to growing and learning as part of Viva el Español.You will be teaching Spanish as a second language to a group of students on-campus at an elementary or middle school. We will provide you with excellent training and all curriculum materials. Our trained mentors and master teachers will guide you, ensuring your success every step of the way. Our methodology uses games, music & movement, art projects, storytelling and more, creating a very engaging learning experience.
